INSTRUCTIONS
WAXING
The ordinary method should be followed. Use ample material for filling interproximal
spaces to restore natural appearance of the gingiva.
FLASKING
Flask as you do for ProTech® Denture Base Acrylic or any other quality denture
acrylic.
NO FOIL REQUIRED
Our ProTech® Separating Medium is an excellent Tin Foil Substitute.
Wash out case thoroughly with boiling water to which some detergent has been added, then
with pure boiling water. While the case is very hot, apply ProTech® Separating Medium,
covering completely, particularly the interproximal spaces and allow to cool to room
temperature.
MIXING
The proportion is approximately three (3) parts of powder by volume to 1 part of liquid
by volume. For an average full upper or lower denture, take eight (8) cc of liquid and
pour into mixing jar. Pour powder into liquid -not vice-versa - dont stir. Close jar
immediately for 1 to 1˝ minutes. Open the jar and see if all the powder has been absorbed
by the liquid. If dry spots remain on the surface, these have to be wetted with monomer,
using a dropper. Stir mixture. Close jar again for several minutes. Remove material and
kneed in hands. By this time the material will have reached the right consistency for
packing. It should have a snappy consistency and break without pulling threads.
PACKING
Take ample time for this operation. Hold flask at room temperature. Proceed as usual
but without any interruption. For trial packing moisten a piece of cellophane and stretch
it over the material. Close the flask, put it under the bench press, but do not close the
press entirely. Open the flask but do not remove any excess. Again, put it under the bench
press and turn down the press, a little more then the first time, but not entirely. Reopen
and remove excess. If there are any white streaks, it indicates that the material is too
dry. A little monomer applied with a dropper will remedy the situation. Close flask again,
put under press and close entirely. Immerse in boiling water for fifteen (15) minutes.
FINISHING
Finish in the usual manner. Using the ProTech® Acrylic Polishing
& Hi-Shine Bar will result in a long lasting and beautiful high
shine.
REPAIRING
ProTech "15 Minute Boil" can be repaired, preferably with our ProTech®
Acrylic Repair material, and the original fit, the permanence and
color stability will remain unchanged.
PATIENT CARE
The patient should care for their prosthesis with the same degree of diligence as
required for natural dentition. We strongly recommend that the prosthesis be cleaned with
the
ProTech Prosthetic Cleaner. The use of this cleaner will
insure a clean and undamaged appliance.
